Bears in Blackhawk Ranch

There will be a “Bears in Black Hawk Ranch” Presentation by the Wildlife Officers of Las Animas and Huerfano Counties on Tuesday August 1, 2023, at 9:00 AM. The event will be at JP and Debra’s place at 29032 Cougar Trail, Lot 169. The format will be an informal presentation, followed by Q &A. This event is timed to coincide with the current period of high activity of bears on the ranch. Some of our property owners have recently experienced bears where they should not be, including on decks and in a couple of houses. Please attend if you can. Seating will be limited, so bring a folding chair if you can. Please pass this information along to other interested property owners who might be interested.
