FIREWISE Community Mitigation Day

Just a reminder that on Saturday May 15, from 09:00 – 12:00, we will have a Blackhawk FireWise Community Wildland Fire Mitigation Day to kickoff our summer community wildland fire mitigation efforts on the ranch. The mitigation area for the day will be on Wapiti Drive, beyond the intersection with Timber Drive and near lots # 54 and # 55. Paul Branson, Huerfano County All-Hazard Mitigation Coordinator will join us for this effort. Paul is a well known area expert on wildland fire mitigation and home ignition zone mitigation. Paul will join our efforts and work along side us teaching as we go. Please come join us for a wonderful opportunity to see what wildland fire mitigation looks like and learn how to transfer those skills onto your own properties. As a bonus, Paul has sent us the newly released guide on Home Ignition Zone analysis and mitigation guide attached below. See you there!
