4/6/2025 As of this morning, HCFPD has lifted the ban on mitigation activities. The ban on open fires remains in place.

From Brad Brooks, EMC Chair:

I was kindly asked by the Fire Chiefs of both HCFPD and LVFPD to curtail any and all forms of fire mitigation (including chipping and splitting) on Blackhawk until further notice. They also requested no chainsaw use, or any other outdoor activities (campfires, etc) involving fire or spark creation.  The last few days have been very difficult for both fire districts.

Thanks for your cooperation!
